Carved and handdecorated in Val Gardena, this Melchior depicts the kneeling Magi at the moment of adoration. He wears a deep redorange cloak with blue borders and fine gold profiles; a semitransparent glaze reveals the maple wood grain. He holds a goldfinished censer or chalice with a textured, ancientleaf effect, and is finished with a turbaned headdress and light beard.

Made entirely of Maple Wood, available in sizes from 8 cm to 16 cm. Finishes: coloured (C), natural (N) or three shades of brown (3G).

This sculpture of Melchior, the Wise Man, presents a modern, pared-back form with no defined facial features, directing focus to the solemn act of offering and an earthy colour palette.

The robe graduates from dark brown to ochre and is paired with a textured silver-grey headdress and subtle gold accents on the mantle. He holds a sphere covered in brilliant handcrafted gold leaf to represent his royal gift. Opaque and transparent finishes reveal the natural grain of the wood, giving each piece a unique character.

Entirely carved from maple wood in the Val Gardena artisan tradition, the statue is designed to provide a striking presence in your Nativity scene.
