Broom Style Aspergillum | Holy Water Sprinkler

Whether used during the Asperges rite at Mass or for the blessing of homes and crowds, this Holy Water Sprinkler (traditionally known as an aspergillum) offers a return to natural simplicity and function.

This 9-inch sprinkler is handmade with all-natural materials, ensuring a dignified aesthetic that complements any liturgical setting. The bristles are tightly bound to hold a generous amount of water, allowing for a broad, gentle spray without constant dipping.

The broom-style design of this holy water sprinkler is deeply rooted in scripture and church tradition. It visually evokes the “hyssop” branches mentioned in Psalm 51 (“Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean”), which were used by the ancient Israelites for ritual purification. By using this natural style of sprinkler, the celebrant connects the modern congregation to these ancient symbols of cleansing and the renewal of baptismal promises.

Unlike metal sprinklers, which can be slippery when wet, this holy water sprinkler focuses on tactile safety and ease of use. Its handle is designed to be easy to grip and features a small rope safety loop to help prevent accidental slips or drops.
