Artistic Sculpture St. George and the Dragon in Carved Wood | Val Gardena

Sculpture of St George and the Dragon from Val Gardena by Dolfi, capturing the triumphant moment as the young warrior, clad in gold-and-silver armour and a darkred cloak, places his left foot on the defeated dragon. The saints expression is calm and contemplative, representing the spiritual victory of good over evil.

Colouring is vivid: a darkgreen dragon with yelloworange tones on its belly contrasts with the elegant silver and gold armour, complete with a prominent plume on the helmet. Each statue is handpainted and finished by master painters using shading techniques to give depth and realism to fabrics and skin.

Carved from fine wood: maple for sizes up to 56 cm; linden for larger versions from 60 cm to 200 cm, ensuring stability and detail at a monumental scale. Available in coloured (C), natural (N) and three shades of brown (3G).
