Baroque Monstrance | Koleys K708

Exposition and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament are sacred moments where visual splendor serves a theological purpose: directing the eyes, minds, and hearts of the faithful toward the Real Presence of Christ.

A magnificent baroque monstrance offers a grand, theatrical throne for the Eucharist, surrounding the consecrated host with dramatic flourishes, layered metalwork, and sacred imagery that reflect the glory of heaven!

Unlike the crisp geometric lines of modern vessels or the tall, pointed spires of Gothic ostensoria, a baroque monstrance is celebrated for its dynamic energy and dramatic contrast. Baroque metalwork frequently pairs contrasting precious metalssuch as warm gold and cool silverto create light-and-shadow effects across the face of the vessel.

This baroque monstrance from Koleys features radiant gold and silver-plated filigree lace that creates a striking visual contrast around the Blessed Sacrament. The broad 8-1/2″ base is anchored by four deeply detailed, oxidized medallions, adding historical weight and theological depth to the foundation of the vessel.

As for proportions, this monstrance stands at 27 inches high with a wide 13-inch face diameter. The secure, easy-to-use luna is designed to hold a standard 2-3/4″ Eucharistic host.
