An expression of contemplative stillness comes to life in this sculpture depicting the recumbent ox, a fundamental element of any Nativity scene. The forms are shaped with a stylization that evokes softness and measured realism, with legs folded under the body in a gesture of serene and patient rest.

The chromatic details are skillfully hand-applied: a main medium-dark brown coat blends with lighter shades on the muzzle, tending towards ochre. Attention focuses on the calm and slightly melancholic expression, accentuated by precisely painted eyes. Available finishes range from classic colored (C) and natural (N) wood to the striking three-shade brown (3G) variant, perfect for integrating into any nativity setting.

Crafted according to the ancient sculptural tradition of Val Gardena, this figure is entirely carved from maple wood, selected for its fine grain and its ability to retain the smallest details. Each piece, available in sizes from 6 cm to 15 cm, is the result of artisan mastery that Dolfi has proudly handed down for generations, guaranteeing a work of art destined to last over time.

A crouching ox for your nativity scene, shown in a relaxed pose with legs folded and head raised. The warm brown body is highlighted with lighter, shinier tones; ivorycoloured horns, a dark forehead tuft and an olivegreen collar with a brasscoloured bell complete the stylised, friendly look crafted by sculptors from Val Gardena.

The oxs head is fitted with a magnet system so it can be easily detached and reattached for storage and transport. This also makes the figure a safe, creative toy for children to handle and play with.
